Andre Eichman is well known for his documentary work on disappearing tribes and cultures in and around Asia. He was also known as a fashion photographer in the early part of his career until he changed his focus to fine art.
He worked for many well-known publications such as Royal Geographical Magazine, Vogue, W Magazine, Asia Literary Review, and The Sunday Times Magazine. Andre has had solo exhibitions in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. He has published three books of his fine art and documentary work. The Smithsonian Institute has collected images from his Head-hunters series called Hunting Cannibals photographed in Irian Jaya, Indonesia; and his fine artworks are in private collections around the world.
During the past 15 years, his primary focus has been on fine art photography and printmaking.
